In Australia, the biggest differences come down to regulation and clinical scope.
"Dietitian" is a protected title. To use it, a practitioner must hold an accredited university degree in dietetics and be registered as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia. APDs are recognised by Medicare and many private health insurers. They often work in hospitals and clinical settings managing complex medical conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, and eating disorders.
"Nutritionist" is not a protected title. That means the field includes everyone from degree-qualified professionals to people who have completed a short online course. I believe you deserve transparency about credentials, which is why I am open about mine: I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Exercise) and a Diploma of Food and Nutrition.
My focus is on helping women navigate perimenopause, hormonal shifts, energy, and sleep through personalised, evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle support. While I do not offer hospital-level clinical care or Medicare-rebated services, I bring the depth of university-level training combined with the time and individualised attention that busy medical appointments rarely allow.
If you have a complex medical condition requiring clinical nutrition therapy, or you need Medicare rebates, an Accredited Practising Dietitian is your best option. If you are looking for a dedicated partner to help you understand your changing body and build a sustainable plan that actually works for your life, you are in the right place.

When you book your initial consultation, you'll receive a questionnaire through Halaxy covering your symptoms like sleep, cycle changes, movement, mental and emotional health along with your goals. This needs to be completed at least 48 hours before your appointment, so I can review it and come into our session with real context on what's going on for you.
The initial consultation runs for 60 minutes via Telehealth (through Halaxy), and it's a conversation, we'll talk through what you're experiencing, unpack the patterns behind it, and work out what matters most to you right now. After the session, you'll receive a written summary by email covering what we discussed and my recommendations and resources, so you have something to refer back to.
Follow-up sessions run for 30 minutes and continue from there.

If you’ve ever felt "lost" in the healthcare system or felt that your concerns were dismissed, a Nutritionist can help. I act as your partner and advocate, helping you connect the dots between what you eat and how you feel. People choose to see me when they want to understand what’s going on in Perimenopause and beyond, and how food and lifestyle works for their specific body and life.
-
Google will give you a thousand answers and no idea which one applies to you. I give you one plan, built around your actual body, your actual life, and what's actually going on for you, not a generic list written for someone else's symptoms.
-
Yes. You don't need a clear diagnosis or a textbook list of symptoms to start. Perimenopause rarely announces itself, it's usually a slow accumulation of "is this normal?" moments. If your body feels different and you can't quite explain why, that's enough of a reason to start the conversation.
-
Not at all. If you do have one, brilliant, if you want we will factor it in from the start. If you don’t want to, that's fine too. We work with where you are right now.
-
Probably not as much as you're dreading. Maybe you have always been particular about food or you've got texture things, or commonly healthy foods are non-negotiable nos. Whether that's genuine sensitivity or just stuff you've never liked, it's completely fine, we work with what's real for you, not what you "should" be eating. Food should still be something you enjoy.
-
Most things don't stick because they weren't built for your actual life, they were built for a version of you that has more time, more willpower, or a completely different body than the one you're in now. This isn't a program you follow until it falls apart. It's built around what's realistic for you, and it adjusts as your body does.
-
If you're not sure, that's exactly what a Discovery Call is for. Tell me where you're at, and I'll point you to the right starting point.
-
Perimenopause and post-menopause aren't separate problems, they're different chapters of the same story, and your nutrition needs keep shifting through both. Wherever you're at, I work with you there.
-
You'll have the knowledge, the tools, and the confidence to keep going without me. But if you ever need a check-in, I'm not going anywhere.
